Introduction

The device should be powered off and disconnected from the charger when working on the device.

  • Turn the laptop on to its back.

  • Use the Phillips #1 screwdriver to remove five 1.2 mm screws from the back cover of the laptop.

  • Remove the back cover using the opening tool, leaving the laptop back exposed.
  • Use the opening tool to pry the edge and work your way around the perimeter.
  • Careful to undo the clips before removing the back cover.

              Battery               
  • Use the Phillips #1 screwdriver to remove the four 1.2 mm screws that secure the battery.

  • Remove the battery using your hand or a prying tool.

              Speakers               
  • Use the Phillips #1 screwdriver to remove the two 1.2 mm screws.

  • Unplug the speaker cable from the board.

  • Lift up the marked latch and remove the cable.
  • Remove the speaker.

You will have the speaker replaced and fully working. To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
