Introduction

The device should be powered off and disconnected from the charger when being worked on.

What you need

              Back Cover               
  • Turn the laptop on to its back.

  • Use the Phillips #1 screwdriver to remove five 1.2 mm screws from the back cover of the laptop.

Step 3

  • Remove the back cover using the opening tool, leaving the laptop back exposed.
  • Use the opening tool to pry the edge and work your way around the perimeter.
  • Careful to undo the clips before removing the back cover.

Step 4

              Battery               
  • Use the Phillips #1 screwdriver to remove the four 1.2 mm screws that secure the battery.

  • Remove the battery using your hand or a prying tool.

              CMOS Battery               
  • Once the battery is removed the CMOS battery will be exposed.

  • Disconnect the CMOS cable from the socket on the motherboard.

  • Remove the CMOS battery.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
