Introduction

What you need

Step 1

              Screen               
  • Using a plastic opening tool or opening pick, gently pry the screen off.
  • If possible, use plastic tools to pry the screen, as the metal tool as shown in the image can potentially damage your device.
  • You will need to use a little bit of force to pry it open. There is little indent that goes around the tablet. You will insert your tool between this indent and pry it open.
  • Once you’re able to lift a little bit of the screen away from the tablet, work your way around until screen is separated from tablet. Stop for step two.

  • Once separated, you can not fully take it off due to some cable connections.
  • Open the clips of the ZIF connectors and gently grab the cable to pull it out.

  • Once the cables are disconnected, remove the screen.

              Motherboard               
  • Remove the seven, 3mm, Phillips #00 screws attaching motherboard to the back cover.

  • Remove the white clips, then gently pull out both the motherboard and fan.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
