  • Use a plastic opening tool to pry open the back cover of the tablet.

  • The power button strip is only held in place by a small piece of double-sided tape.
  • Gently use the precision tweezers to separate the power button strip from the interior frame of the tablet.

Step 3

  • Be careful with the soldering iron to avoid injury.
  • Remove the power button from the motherboard.
  • Use the soldering iron to heat up the connections. Gently pull away from the motherboard after connections are detached.
