- Power down the chromebook before starting this process.
- Loosen the key by prying on the edge of the key with the plastic opening tool.

- Remove the key from the keyboard by prying the key off with the opener or with your finger.
- The key is connected to the keyboard with two connecting plastic squares. One is connected to the keyboard by tabs and one is connected to the keyboard by snaps.
- When reassembling make sure that the two plastic square connectors are in the same place as when you removed the key.

very vague info. If a Key does not work and I take it out, why should it work once back in?? what do I need to change or look for? seems like very good instructions to take the keys out of a notebook

Yeah so I tried this on my computer to clean my keys and now my alt key won’t go back in. I also got my g key partially stuck in so only the right side of it works. Is there anything I am supposed to do?
