What you need
Step 1
Remove the Battrty
- Turning over the laptop, look for two tabs that are located by the fan
- Push these tabs to the opposite sides (left to right and vise versa.) when done correctly, you should see at least one tab with a red indicator on the right
- Carefully remove the battery by slowly pulling the battery towards you, the battery should come out with no force
- Fully discharge the laptop by pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds after removing the battery. This ensures that there is no electricity in the laptop itself

Remove the back Panel
- Take a JI head screwdriver and remove the nine screws holding the back panel down.
- When done correctly, the back panel should come off with little to no difficulty. If there is resistance, make sure that all screws are removed

Remove the Old hard Drive
- Gently lift and remove the hard drive.
Gently lift and remove the hard drive.
To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
