  • Turn off and unplug your laptop to prevent the risk of electrocution.
  • Turn your laptop over so that the bottom is face up.

  • On the top left of the laptop there is a switch. Make sure it’s pushed in the unlocked position.

  • Locate the switch collinear with the last one and move the switch to an unlocked position.

  • Remove the unlocked battery.

  • Open the laptop.

  • Remove the four 7mm phillips head screws in the corners of the screen with a Phillips #00 Screwdriver.

  • Pry the screen out of the tabs with a spudger.

  • Remove the four 7mm phillips head screws located beneath the screen.

  • Pop out the connector that links the screen to the motherboard.

  • Pop the new screen into the connector.
