What you need

              Battery               
  • Turn off and unplug your laptop to prevent the risk of electrocution.
  • Turn your laptop over so that the bottom is face up.

  • On the top left of the laptop there is a switch. Make sure it’s pushed in the unlocked position.

  • Locate the switch collinear with the last one and move the switch to an unlocked position.

  • Remove the unlocked battery.

              Top Panel               
  • Turn the laptop over so that the bottom is facing up.

  • Remove all 7mm phillips head screws using the Phillips #00 screwdriver.

  • Turn the laptop over again and open the laptop.

  • Gently lift up the top panel utilizing the hole where the battery would be.
  • Keyboard ribbon cable is still connected. Flip the ZIF connector up and remove the ribbon cable.

Step 9

  • Disconnect any wires that are connected to the top panel from the bottom of the laptop.

Step 10

              Fan               
  • Unplug the bundled fan connector from the motherboard.

Step 11

  • Unscrew all screws that hold the fan down using the Phillips #00 screwdriver.

Step 12

  • Remove the fan from the slot.

Remove the fan from the slot.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
