Remove screws
- Remove the nine screws on the back panel using a #00 Phillips head screwdriver.
- Set the screws aside in a container so not to lose them.

Remove the panel
- Slide a a guitar pick or similarly thin piece of plastic through the groove around the panel. You may need multiple picks to prevent the clasps from reconnecting as you go around all sides.
- Use the pry tool to gently pop open the clasps connecting the panel to the chassis.
- Gently remove the panel.

Step 3
Disconnect the battery cable
- Using tweezers, gently disconnect the battery interconnect.

Step 4
Remove the battery
- Use a #00 Phillips head to unscrew the five screws fastening the battery to the board. Make sure to have a little jar or something to collect the screws -they’re fairly tiny.
- Also make sure that the black/white twisted wire is free from the battery housing - it snakes around the bottom edge of the battery and may be caught up in the plastic.
- Remove the battery and dispose of properly (i.e. at a municipal battery/electronics recycle center).
