Introduction
The battery is a piece of hardware that provides power to your computer. A failing battery can cause your laptop to shut down irregularly and/or die quickly even when it is fully charged. In some cases, your computer may not turn on at all if it is experiencing battery failure.
Before using this guide, make sure to review the troubleshooting page—this will allow you to review symptoms and conclude that the battery is the problem.
Make sure to power off your laptop completely and disconnect from any external power source before beginning the process.
