  • First, begin by flipping the laptop over, so the bottom is facing up.
  • Then, start removing the 13 screws found at the bottom to remove the bottom. Size: Phillips #0
  • After removing the bottom, remove the 3 extra screws located in the RAM port. Size: Phillips #0

Step 2

  • Then begin by disconnecting the keyboard and the touchpad.
  • Also, remove the CD drive.

  • Proceed to flip the laptop back over so now it is right-side up.
  • Using a plastic spudger, pry between the keyboard panel and bottom panel on all 4 sides.

  • Begin by removing the 4 screws and also the tabs that are holding down the motherboard.
  • Be sure to disconnect the fan tab on the bottom of the motherboard

  • Finally remove the one screw that is holding the fan. Size: Phillips #0
