Introduction

The battery for this device is not easily accessible and cannot be easily removed. Before you begin your replacement, be sure to disconnect the laptop from any power source. Additionally, we recommend that you drain the battery completely before you begin this replacement.

What you need

Step 1

              Bottom Back Cover               
  • Unscrew the two 7mm Phillips #1 screws that hold the bottom back plate in its place.

  • Place your hands at the bottom of the cover and slide it towards you.
  • Lift the cover up to remove it.

              RAM               
  • The RAM sticks are located near the bottom of the device, and they are arranged next to each other.

Step 4

  • Locate the two dislocating latches on each side of the stick and place your fingers on them.
  • Pull the tabs away from the stick simultaneously until the stick pops out of place.
  • Gently remove the RAM stick once it has popped out of its place.
  • If necessary, repeat the same process with the second RAM stick that is adjacent to the first one.

To reassemble the device, install your new stick(s) and follow these instructions in reverse order.
