Introduction
Hard drives are commonly a point of failure in electronic devices, and replacing one is a relatively simple procedure if done properly.
This replacement will take about 20 minutes, but it can be completed much faster than that if you know what you’re doing.
What you need

SSD
- Use a Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove the ten 7.6 mm screws securing the bottom panel.

- Wedge an opening tool in the gap between the bottom panel and chassis, and pry vertically around the perimeter until you hear a “pop” and the panel releases.
- Lift the bottom panel up and off the chassis.

- Locate the SSD at the bottom right corner of the fan.
- Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the single 3 mm screw securing the SSD.
- The drive should slightly lift once the screw is removed.

Step 4
- Gently pull the SSD directly out of its port.
- Do not over-tighten the screws during reassembly.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
