What you need

- Before you proceed, make sure your computer is turned off and it’s not connected to any power source. Before removing the drive, make a backup copy of all the information on it if possible. Never remove the drive while the system is operating or in suspend mode.
- Place laptop with the bottom facing up. Using a Philip #1 screwdriver unscrew all 13 screws. Gently pry the back out using a plastic opening tool, starting from one of the corners.

- Using a Phillips #1 screwdriver, remove the four (5mm) screws holding the hard drive in place.

- Do not lift hard drive straight up otherwise you might risk breaking the connection port.
- Gently slide the hard drive away and out out of the connection port.

- Using a Philip #1 screwdriver remove 2 screws from each side, (removing 4 screws in total) holding the hard drive into the housing.

Step 5
- Remove hard drive from housing.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order with your new replacement hard drive.
