What you need

Step 1

              Speaker               
  • Remove the eight 4mm PH00 screws.
  • Remove the four 2mm PH00 screws.

  • Use the nylon spudger to loosen the back cover from the back of the device.
  • You may hear a bit of a snapping sound, but this is normal.

Step 3

  • For safety reasons, disconnect the wires connecting the battery to the motherboard with the nylon spudger.
  • Remove the six 4mm Phillips #00 screws.
  • Remove the battery using the nylon spudger.

Step 4

  • Remove the four 2mm PH00 screws.
  • Unplug the speakers from the motherboard.
  • Remove the two 4mm PH00 screws from the metal shield on the trackpad.
  • Lift the metal shield up slightly, being very careful not to move the ribbon cables too much. Move the speaker cables out from under the shield.

Unplug the speakers from the motherboard.

Step 5

  • Lift the speakers from the case being careful of the wires connecting them. Put them to the side.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
