  • Be sure to power off and unplug your device before you begin your repair.
  • Remove the eight 4mm PH00 screws.
  • Remove the four 2mm PH00 screws.

Step 2

  • Use the nylon spudger to loosen the back cover from the back of the device.
  • You may hear a bit of a snapping sound, but this is normal.

  • Remove six 4mm Phillips #00 screws.
  • Pull the battery connector parallel to the motherboard to disconnect the battery from the motherboard.

  • Use a nylon spudger to pry the battery up and out of the device.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

Take your e-waste to an R2 or e-Stewards certified recycler.
