Images are blurry, which makes this guide much harder to follow. Other images have too much light, making it impossible to see the grooves on the pieces. Additionally, the image of the smaller piece being inserted into the larger piece is incorrect. The smaller piece should be rotated 180 degrees. It should tuck in with the larger piece, creating a larger piece that is essentially flat. The instructions of “The smooth part of both plastic keys always faces away from the keyboard.“ is also misleading. The larger piece has some large grooves that the smaller piece gets tucked into. These grooves (which are obscured after the smaller piece is inserted) should face away from the keyboard. So really, the rough part of the larger piece faces away from the keyboard, not the smooth part. Put another way, the smaller piece can rotate inside the larger piece. The rods on the smaller piece (which the key attaches to) should rotate away from the keyboard. I’m not proud that I spent over an hour figuring this out.
