Introduction
This guide demonstrates how to disassemble, clean, and lubricate your pedestal fan.
Unplug your fan before beginning.
What you need

Lasko 18" Oscillating Pedestal Fan S18902 Cleaning and Maintenance
- Use a Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove the single screw on the back of the motor cover.
- Align the “oscillation” and “speed” knobs with their cutouts so they can slide out the housing.
- Remove the motor cover.

- Remove all of the dirt and dust with a cloth and/or a soft-bristled brush.

- Clean all of the motor vents.
- Use a Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove the two screws securing the front of the motor housing.
- Remove the front of the motor housing.

Step 4
- Inspect the motor for any loose or frayed wires.
- If any wires are frayed, wrap the damaged section(s) with electrical tape.

Step 5
- Use a Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove the four screws securing the two sides of the motor.
- Separate the front of the motor slightly to create a 3-4 mm gap; do not fully remove the front section.
- Place 2-3 drops of light machine oil into the base of the shaft, then spin the shaft to distribute the lubricant.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
