No matter what you do, you can’t get your camera to turn on.
If your camera won’t turn on, especially after a long period of disuse, the batteries may be drained. If you wish to test the batteries, you can insert them into a different, functioning device and see if they provide power. If the batteries are dead, they need to be replaced in the camera. There is a possibility that the camera is not turning on due to a malfunctioning motherboard. If this is the case, you must send the camera to Kodak, as removing the motherboard will ruin the camera. To contact Kodak about repairing your camera, you can go to the Kodak support page here.
My pictures don’t show up on the LCD screen after I take them.
If the pictures do not show up on the LCD screen after being taken, the LCD screen may need replacing. Follow the LCD replacement guide to replace the screen here.
The camera says that the memory is full even though the memory card is empty.
If the camera’s internal memory is full, the first solution would be to connect your camera to your computer with the micro USB cable included with your camera.
The second solution is to insert a memory card into the camera and switch the settings of the camera to save the photos onto a memory card. Follow our guide to this solution here.
Camera says memory card is full.
Check to see if the camera’s memory card is full by removing it from the camera and inserting it into your computer. Download the pictures onto the computer and delete the pictures on the card.
Camera says memory card is corrupted.
If the memory card you are using is not formatted correctly or is corrupted, photos will not be saved.
The flash will not go off when I am taking a picture
If the flash is not turned on, press the flash button on top of the camera (the button with the lightning bolt above it) until the desired flash mode is displayed on the screen. Flash modes and symbols are described in the Kodak Support Page here.
Make sure nothing is obscuring the flash on the front of the camera, including your fingers.
If you have tried the solutions listed above, and the flash still does not work, the flash bulb may need replacing.
If the above solutions still have not worked, the capacitor may need replacing.
