Rear Cover
- If you haven’t done so already, power off your eReader by sliding and holding the power switch for 3 seconds until the display refreshes to indicate that it has powered off.
- When inserting your opening tools/picks at this step, do not insert it in the gap on the front, as this is where the front panel attaches.
- Insert it on the side.

Step 2
- Insert your opening tool in the seam, starting at the top.
- You could start at the side or the bottom, but you may find that the shell may be harder to pry apart.
- If you’re only using an opening tool:
- Use the tool to undo clips located in these areas.
- If you’re using both an opening tool and pick:
- Use the tool to open a gap small enough that you can slide a pick into
- and slide it around the side to undo clips located in these areas.
- You may have to switch between the opening tools and picks.

- The rear cover can now come off.
- The plastic cover for the power switch will usually fall inside or fall out. Don’t lose this!
- However, the plastic cover for the front light toggle is usually attached to the rear cover, unless it has broken off.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
