              Remove Back Cover               
  • Using a Phillips #2 screwdriver, remove the 10 mm screw from the top of the back cover.
  • The rear cover is now completely free from the mixer.

  • Using a Phillips #1 screwdriver, remove the 9.5 mm screw holding the circuit board in place.
  • The screw may be hidden underneath the seal.

Step 3

              Dislodge Connectors               
  • Using pliers, remove the connections for each of the four wires connecting to the circuit board.
  • Remember which color wire corresponds to which connection or take a photo. Improper placement will not allow your mixer to turn on.

Step 4

              Remove Circuit Board               
  • Grab the four wires away from the circuit board.
  • Tilt the board back to remove it.
  • If the board won’t come out with some wiggling, you may need to loosen the two screws at the top of the control plate. Mark the top of the heads and loosen them 5 complete turns, without removing them completely. You may need to loosen the locking nuts.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

To protect the board, be sure to put heat-sink compound on the back of the new circuit (phase) board to ensure proper heat transfer to the housing.

If the mixer gets locked up, can it cause the circuit board to go bad? Mine jammed due to a bad gear, now the motor won’t run. I have juice to the board. Any suggestions?

Hi Chris I bought a secondhand kitchenaid mixer MODEL KSM75WH .. I was whipping meringue on a medium to high speed next thing there was an explosion black smoke coming from the machine, electrical burn smell…. Machine stopped and tripped my electricity.. can this be fixed …any idea what part needs to be replaced? Regards Savannah

hallo,

meine KidchenAid sagt seit heute nichts mehr. Es hat einmal geknallt und die Sicherung ist raus geflogen. Als ich den Elektronikdeckel hinten aufgeschraubt habe kam mir eine kleine Rolle auf einem Federdraht entgegen geflogen. Ich weiß nicht wo sie hingehört. Kann sie hier auf den Bildern nicht entdecken. Kann mir jemand sagen wo das Ding hingehört?

Hi, my kitchenAid mixer stop working. My wife was using it and she stop the machine and when try to turn in on again it won’t start. I replaced the carbons but still the same it won’t start. What can it be?
