- Find the seam on the speaker and position it upwards.
- Begin by turning the device to where the bottom side with groves are facing towards you. Use a spudger to carefully pry open and unlatch the side of the outer shell.
- After they are unlatched, you should be able to open the shell by hand.

Step 2
- Use a Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove the two 1 cm screws shown in the picture.

- Use a spudger to slowly pop the shell off.
- There is one nudge in the center below the power and Bluetooth button that should pop off.
- Once you have unlatched this piece correctly, the shell will remove itself from the speaker itself.

Step 4
- Turn the device until the power and Bluetooth controls are facing down, and you will see a rectangular panel containing 8 screws.
- Use a Phillips #1 screwdriver to remove the 8 1 cm screws.
- Once all screws have been removed, carefully remove the panel.

Step 5
- To remove the battery carefully use the (5) spudger to prop the battery out of its place. Ensure not to puncture the battery the removal of the battery should gently release with minimum effort.
- Once the battery releasing be aware that it is still attached to a cable so do not tug or pull on the battery.

Step 6
- Use an opening tool to push the small white lever piece. Depending on orientation of the speaker, the white lever should be pressed in the shortest direction towards are nearest wall of the speaker. In this particular orientation this it should be pushing in the north direction.
- When removing the battery it would be advised to use the plastic opening tool to press the white notch north, simultaneously you will want to carefully pull the battery to unplug it.
- Once the battery has been removed you may plug in the replacement.
- Make sure the new battery is secure. Turn on the device to ensure that the battery is connected properly.
