The JBL Pulse 3 will not respond to Bluetooth pairing.
Press the power button on the side of the device. Then, press the Bluetooth button, located near the power button, on the JBL Pulse 3. The device should now show up on the device list on your phone. Select the JBL Pulse 3 and the speaker should now play music from your phone.
Make sure the Bluetooth on your phone is turned on. This can normally be found in setting on your phone under Bluetooth. If Bluetooth is turned on, and the JBL Pulse 3 is still not showing up on the device list, try the above steps.
Your JBL Pulse 3 will not charge.
Make sure charger is plugged in on the side of the device, if it is, try unplugging the cord from the device and the wall and plugging it back in again. If the JBL Pulse 3 still fails to charge, try another charging cord. If the device still fails to charge, try replacing the charging port.
Your JBL Pulse 3 is not playing music.
Make sure both your phone and the JBL Pulse 3 are connected by Bluetooth under settings on your phone. If they are and the JBL Pulse 3 fails to produce sound, make sure your volume is on on both the device and your phone. The JBL Pulse 3 volume can be found on the side of the device and the volume for your phone can normally be found on either the side of your phone or in settings. Volume on your phone can also commonly be found on a drop down menu on your phone. If the volume is on and the JBL Pulse 3 fails to produce sound, try replacing the motherboard.
Your JBL Pulse 3 does not light up.
Try restarting the JBL Pulse 3 by pressing the power button on the side of the device to turn it on and off. Then, if the JBL Pulse 3 still fails to light up, try unplugging the JBL Pulse 3 from the side of the device and the wall and try plugging it back in again. If the device fails to light up again, you may need to replace the LED light display.
Try the above steps. If the JBL Pulse 3 still fails to light up, try replacing the motherboard.
Your JBL Pulse 3 push buttons do not register to the device.
Try restarting the device by unplugging the JBL Pulse 3 from the side of the device and the wall and plug it back in again. If the push buttons still fail to operate, try replacing push button covers as part of replacing the charging port.
