The speaker won’t play sounds or light up.

Try pressing the power button on the top of the device. The lights on the front will turn on when the speaker is on.

Make sure your speaker and device are paired. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the two. Once your device and speaker are paired make sure the volume is turned up on both. If this fails, restart the speaker and try again.

Speaker reset code: Turn on device and press and hold “volume up” and “play pause” simultaneously until power button glows.

If your device will still not connect to the speaker you may have a faulty bluetooth chip and need to replace the motherboard. See our motherboard replacement guide.

Plug the Charge 3 in and make sure the front lights turn on, indicating the speaker is charging. If this fails you may need to replace the battery.

First, make sure the device is charged. If it is fully charged and still wont turn on then the button mechanism may be worn out or broken. Follow our button replacement guide.

The speaker won’t turn on or turns off quickly.

If the battery is not charging or unexpectedly turns off you may need to replace it. Make sure this is a persistent issue before replacing. Instances of leaving the device in abnormal temperatures can cause the device to loose power quicker than normal. If the issue continues, follow our battery replacement guide.

Either charging the device, using the device as a charger, or using an audio cable does not work.

Check that any cable you are attempting to use work on another device. Try using a different cable with your Charge 3 and see if the problem persists.

If one of the three ports will not work with its corresponding functioning cable it may require a replacement of the port bay.

Audio sounds distorted or muffled.

The Charge 3 has multiple audio presets that can be accidentally activated. Try reseting the speaker. It is recommended to keep your speaker in the preset mode for normal listening.

If the speaker sounds distorted, it may be blown out. Follow our speaker replacement guide. Make sure to play music with heavier bass at lower volumes to avoid damage to your speaker.

One or more of the buttons fails to register when pressed.

If one or more of the buttons is not working the button membrane may have been damaged. Button failure can also happen from long tern use. Follow our button replacement guide.
