- Use a Philips screwdriver to remove the four screws: two at the top and two at the bottom of the device.

- Place the device screen down on the table and use a pry tool to remove the back panel.

- For your safety, remove the battery.
- Using a solder iron, remove the wires connecting the battery to the motherboard.

- Remove the screw attaching the motherboard to the back panel. Gently remove the motherboard.

- The headphone jack is attached to the motherboard, so the whole thing must be replaced.
- With the new mother board, use these steps in reverse to reassemble the device.
