The device has liquid coming out while powered off or there is excess residue.

The tank may be broken if liquid continues to leak out of the Braava even when it is filled and closed properly. If so, then take out the filter out of the tank and inspect it for any cracks/holes. The tank will need to be replaced if damaged in any way.

The device will not power on no matter how many times the button is pressed.

The device may need to be charged for longer if the battery is not at full capacity. If the device has been charging for more than 12 hours and still continues to not turn on, then the batteries need to be replaced.

The device may not be connecting to the navigation cube properly. A likely cause for this may be that the cube and robot are out of range from each other as well as the Cube not being properly connected to the internet connection. Make sure the cube and robot are positioned correctly and the cube is not connecting to other nearby devices.

The device is charged to full capacity but will not move from the previous spot.

The tire treads may be placed incorrectly, missing, or jammed in the device. To fix this, flip your device upside down to check if all tires are installed correctly. If not then take out the tires and reinstall the treading.

The cleaning cloth located inside the device may not be the correct type. The device uses a microfiber cloth provided with the charging port and wire.

The NorthStar Navigation Cube should be provided with the other device components and allow the device to move around the user’s desired cleaning area. Make sure that the NorthStar Navigation Cube is fully charged and is connected to the device. A blue blinking light on the cube means the cube is trying to connect to the device, a solid blue light means the connection to Braava was successful, and a solid red light means the battery is low.

The device continues to make a beeping sound.

The device may need a longer time to charge if the battery is not at full capacity. If the device continues to make a beeping sound even after the screen shows the battery is at full capacity, then there may be an issue with the charging port or battery itself. If so, try replacing the batteries first and if the beeping continues the charging port will need to be replaced as well.

The cleaning cloth may be placed incorrectly, which inhibits the device’s movements. Check the underside of the device to make sure the cloth is placed correctly, if not then insert the cloth based on the instructions in the user’s manual or here. Check the area with the cleaning cloth and make sure the cloth is not bunched up, stuck in between spaces of the removable cleaning pad or middle channel.

The device continues to have a red light blinking around two to six times.

The cause of this issue may be caused by the Braava being stuck in a certain location. The easiest way to fix this would be to remove the Braava from where it is stuck and start it over again in a new area.

The device continues to have a red light blinking a total of fifteen times in a row.

If the red light is blinking 15 times, this means that the device has detected that it is overheating. To solve this problem, turn off the device and let it cool off for a while before using your Braava again. A good method in preventing your device from overheating is to make sure you are not overworking the Braava.

The device buttons wont turn on properly or jammed in the shell.

If the buttons are unresponsive or stuck, then the motherboard might need to be replaced. Take off the shell from your device and inspect the motherboard for loose or cut wires, damaged buttons, or loose screws. If just the buttons or the pins connecting to the buttons on the motherboard are broken in any way then they need to be replaced. If any wires or parts on the motherboard are damaged then the whole board itself will need to be replaced.
