  • Locate the bottom of the device.

  • Begin by using a metal spudger to peel back the adhesive sticker and locate the 11mm screw behind the sticker.

  • Using a plastic opening tool, peel off the adhesive gel stoppers.

  • Begin unscrewing the six 11mm screws with a Phillips head screw driver.

  • Once you remove the bottom cover from the device, you will see the motherboard.

  • Lift the motherboard away from the device.

  • Locate the four plugs connecting the motherboard to the rest of the device.

  • Remove the LCD screen plug last. Then, follow the following instructions in reverse to replace the old motherboard with the new one.

  • Using the Phillips screwdriver, remove the three screws that run along the center of the base.

  • Using the metal spudger, lift the speaker grilles from the display.
  • The speaker grilles will hinge on the side closest to the display.

  • The two pieces of the display should easily separate.
