  • Starting in the corner, carefully insert the plastic opening tool.
  • Work the plastic opening tool carefully around the entire device to pry it open.

  • Once the tablet is completely open, set aside the back half.
  • Carefully place the other half of the tablet screen-side down.

  • Using tweezers, gently grab the power button and pull it out from the tablet.

  • Once the faulty power button is removed, follow the directions in reverse order to reassemble the device.

If the power button doesn’t physically click anymore, can you order a replacement? Is it even possible to solder on a new power button?

Can you do this with the volume rocker? My Insignia tablet has a faulty rocker, and I need to fix it. (Note- the “+” part of the volume button sticks and jams the volume to 100 until I press “-”.)
