  • Make sure the power is off to avoid injury in the following steps.
  • Position the tablet so that the screen is face down.
  • The power button is located in the upper left hand corner.
  • Hold the power button for three seconds until the tablet powers down.

Step 2

  • Remove the back casing by sliding a credit card or a similarly thin but firm object in between the casing and the screen.
  • Run this object around the perimeter of the tablet until there is separation between the casing and the screen.
  • Remove the back casing and set aside.

  • Peel back the tape from battery and case.

  • Slide the spudger beneath battery to pry away it away from the case. Work around the battery, prying up all edges to remove from glue.
  • Do not puncture or bend battery. This could cause battery to leak acid.

  • Desolder the black, yellow and red connections from circuit board. Desoldering Help
  • Keep the soldering tool away from other components on the circuit board.
