Sometimes, users need to delete an individual Internet address, search item or other text from an address bar or another autocomplete field. To perform this action, press Shift+Delete keys on any highlighted item. For example, in the image below I have typed “computerhope” into the address bar and was given several options. Pressing the down arrow key once selects the first address or result; pressing Shift+Delete deletes it.
You cannot delete Google suggestions from the address bar because they are not cached data.
