What you need

Step 1

              Remove Phillips Screws               
  • Remove the two 8mm Phillips #0 screws from the iHome’s iPod adapter.

Step 2

              Pull Out iPod Adapter               
  • Use the metal spudger to loosen the edges of the plastic cover.
  • Pull the adapter up and away from the housing, rotating it forward slightly as you lift it so the top faces you.

Step 3

  • Pull firmly on the red and black cable connector to disconnect it.
  • Pinch the ribbon cable on both sides and pull it firmly to disconnect it.
  • The ribbon cable takes a bit more force to disconnect than the red and black cable. Make sure to pull evenly on the entire cable for ease of removal.

Step 4

              Remove Plastic Cover               
  • Remove the four 7mm Phillips #00 screws attaching the black plastic cover to the bottom of the adapter assembly.

Step 5

  • Pull the ipod adapter out of the plastic holder ad replace.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
