Audio is not coming out of the speaker.
Make sure the connection from your device to the iHome is fully connected by the auxiliary cord as it may be loose. Auxiliary port may be loose or may not be clean. Be sure to clean out the port before taking apart the device.
The battery may be dead and causing the issue. Be sure to charge the speaker when necessary. LED light should be flashing if the device is on.
Be sure that the volume is turned up on your device connected to the iHome.
Over time wires may become stripped or damaged within the device. Please visit our repair guide for more information on how to repair your device.
Speaker does not close, or stay closed.
The clips may be damaged causing the mating surfaces not to meet up correctly.
Check internal spring to see if it is stretched out or damaged. Refer to our repair guide for more information on how to repair your device.
The LED light will not turn on when pressing the color button.
When the device begins to die, the color light may turn off to optimize battery usage. Try charging the batteries for 10-15 min before trying to turn the light on again.
If the button becomes stuck, try to wiggle it back and forth until it returns to its original spot. If this does not work, take rubbing alcohol and dab the button with a soft cloth working the alcohol into the button to remove dirt/debris.
Your device will not charge or hold a charge when plugged in.
If the speaker will not play without being plugged in, the battery may have reached the end of its life and cannot store a charge. Try replacing the battery. For help with this, please visit our repair guide.
Device will not turn on and function.
The battery may be dead and causing the issue. Be sure to charge the speaker when necessary. LED light should be flashing if the device is on.
The battery has reached the end of its life and no longer functions.
Power button module has expired and no longer functions to power on the device.
