What you need

  • Remove the SIM card tray.
  • Use the SIM Card Eject Tool to click the pins located in two small holes on the side of the phone.

  • Remove the back cover.
  • The cover is not fastened with screws or adhesive, so you can use your finger nails, plastic spudger or other tools.

  • Use the screwdrivers from 54 Bit Driver Kit to undo the screws. Be sure to keep the screws separated on your work surface to avoid confusion during the assembly.

  • Gently pull the connectors attached to the motherboard to disconnect them. See the highlighted areas in the photos.
  • These connectors are extremely fragile, so avoid using any kind of tools and make sure to be extremely gentle in the process.

  • Remove the motherboard carefully.
  • Replace the motherboard with the new one. To reassempble the phone, follow the teardown process guide in the reverse order.
