What you need

Step 1

              Remove the rear case
  • Apply a little heat around the base, using a suction cup, lift enough to place a pick.
  • The adhesive is very light and the rear is plastic so is unlikely to break.
  • As well as adhesive around the outside there is adhesive around the camera bump.

Step 2

              Remove the top case
  • Remove the 10 Phillips 00 screws including the one covered in a white piece of paper.

              Disconnect the battery
  • Using a spudger lift up the battery connector

              Remove the battery
  • Peel the black plastic from the battery. The adhesive is very light.

              Huawei battery pull tabs
  • I REALLY HATE HUAWEIs PULL TABS! Just wanted to get that out my system
  • Peel back tab 1 and 2 until they are no longer in contact with the battery
  • Peel back tab 3 and lift up. In theory lifting the battery.
  • The adhesive under the battery is very strong so don’t force it and deform the battery.
  • You may need to use a pick under tab 3 to leverage the battery out.

  • using a spudger disconnect the screen from the motherboard and lift up the cable from the adhesive

              Remove the screen
  • Apply heat to the edge of the screen and using a suction cup or blunt scalpel work a pick under the screen
  • PLEASE NOTE THERE IS A PLATIC FRAME BETWEEN THE PHONE CHASSIS AND THE SCREEN.
  • Make sure your pick is between the screen and the frame and not the frame and the chassis.

Apply heat to the edge of the screen and using a suction cup or blunt scalpel work a pick under the screen

PLEASE NOTE THERE IS A PLATIC FRAME BETWEEN THE PHONE CHASSIS AND THE SCREEN.

Make sure your pick is between the screen and the frame and not the frame and the chassis.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
