Introduction

Before beginning make sure to power off your phone completely and disconnect from any external power.

What you need

  • Using the Jimmy tool, gently pry the display open.
  • Wear ESD bracelet to ensure you are electrostatic safe.

  • Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the six 3.0mm screws.

  • Using the tweezer tool, remove the ribbon cable attached to the main display in two places.

  • Using the tweezer tool, remove the three remaining ribbon cables.

Step 5

  • Using the Jimmy, break the adhesive that holds the battery to the main body and remove the battery from the device.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
