- Use the plastic opening tool to loosen the adhesive from the crease surrounding the screen.
- The volume button is a good place to begin, it should come right out as you pry.

- Wedge the plastic opening tool into the crack around the screen, on only the top, left and right sides.
- Applying heat with the iOpener or a heat gun can speed this process.

- Once the screen has been loosened on the top, left and right edges, lift the screen. It will remain attached at the bottom on a hinge.
- The screen will remain attached to this hinge until the final step.

- Carefully remove the volume button. Loosen the back panel of the phone with the plastic opening tool. Begin loosening and prying in the space where the battery was.

- Once the crease has been loosened all around, pry the back panel open and lift until it can be removed.

- Remove tape to expose #000 screws, remove all screws.
- Use the #000 bit screwdriver

- Reach beneath the motherboard with the tweezers, grip it and lift.
- Lift with care, the motherboard is not completely disconnected yet.
- Remove the tape connecting the motherboard to the phone and gently lift it out.
