HP15 won’t load past the startup screen

The computer wont recognize that a device is connected through a USB port
The HP15 will not detect any devices plugged into the USB port if there is dust or lint blocking the connection. To remedy this, blow out the USB ports with compressed air until the blockage is gone.
If the USB port has been cleaned out, and your computer will not detect any devices connected to it, the USB port may need to be replaced. Replace the USB port using this guide.
The tray won’t respond when reading discs or being ejected
Due to excessive use, the optical lens may become dirty. To fix this, use a Q-tip dipped in water and gently clean the lens. Do not press to hard or use too much water as it can damage the lens. Do not use alcohol as that will greatly damage the lens.
If your HP15’s disc tray is unable to read discs or won’t open at all, it may be broken and needs to be replaced. Replace the disc tray using this guide.
Computer will not display typed characters
If the computer does not display any characters being typed by the user, this could mean that the keyboard is defective and need to be replaced. Replace the keyboard using this guide.
