-The Tablet does not show any signs of powering up or charging.
Ensure that you are using the correct tablet charger, otherwise it may charge slowly or not at all. If you have access to another AC adapter for the tablet, try it. A defective battery could also be a problem. To check this problem, connect the AC adapter and charge for 30 mins or more. If both tests fail, HP services are recommended. If tablet boots, the AC adapter may need to be replaced.
Run the battery diagnostic test from HP to see if the battery needs to be replaced. If so, you can contact the HP services to have it replaced, or follow the guide to replace it yourself.
-The device functions properly but will not charge due to the port not accepting the charger, or when the charger/ AC adapter is plugged in but the device does not turn on.
Plug in the charging cable with the AC adapter and see if after a few minutes the device begins charging. If the device does not turn on or begin charging, this is a sign that the AC adapter may need to be replaced, but you can try running the battery check diagnostic to see if it is a battery related issue instead of charger issue. If it is battery related, see other troubleshooting section.
-Nothing happens when the keys are typed.
Make sure that the keyboard is properly seated and there is clear contact with the keyboard to device. If the ports look disturbed by debris, try blowing it away and attempting to connect it again.
-The device does not produce sound or produces distorted sound.
To determine if the speakers are faulty, ensure that your device is not muted. Try turning the sound level up and playing audio. Try reseting the device by powering it all the way off and waiting a few minutes, then turning it back on. If there is still no sound or if the sound is distorted, you can assume that the speakers are faulty.
-The Tablet’s screen either does not power on, or will be on but unresponsive. Touch screen is unresponsive to touch on HP tablet
Make sure that your screen isn’t locked. To unlock your screen, you need to place one finger on the lock icon and slide across the screen to unlock. You should not install a thick screen protector, anything thicker than 0.9mm could result in unresponsive screen, remove the screen protector to test this out. Perform hard reboot by press and hold the power button for 8 seconds then wait a few seconds then turn it back on. Or perform factory reset ,refer to ++https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-…. If the options fail, HP services are recommended.
