Introduction
The hard drive serves as a core role in the computer system. Whenever you find it works in the wrong way, you should first try your best to find where the problem is. You could do it by watching (If there is any external or structural damage), listening (If it is working smoothly) or feeling the change of its temperature. However, the first step to do is to take the hard drive out of your computer.
The guide does not include images or steps to remove the hard drive, since the hard drive was not present in our device.
What you need
Step 1
Keyboard Panel
- Remove the covers to access the screws attached to the back cover of the device.
- Remove six 3mm screws using the Phillips #0 screwdriver.

Step 2
- Use a metal spudger to loosen the four corners of the keyboard panel. The corner is circled red as shown in the first image.
- Disconnect the keyboard panel cables under the upper case.
- Remove the keyboard panel from the device.

Hard Drive
- Use the Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove four screws from the hard drive.
- Remove the hard drive from the device.
- At the time of creating this guide, the hard drive was not present in the device.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
