The touch screen does not respond to finger presses.
If the screen of the laptop is coming apart/separating from the rest of the laptop, consider replacing the plastic caps/brackets that keep the screen together.
If the screen is simply unresponsive to the touch it may be faulty and you should consider replacing the screen of the laptop.
Cursor will not move when running your finger across the touchpad.
Press Fn + F7 on the keyboard this will unlock the touchpad so it may be responsive again .
If the touchpad is still having a problems ( unresponsive from touch ) it may be damaged. You can purchase a new touchpad online and replace it.
The lights on the laptop and AC adapter are not on when plugged in and holding/pressing the power does nothing.
You can press down on the power button for 10-15 seconds, this will begin the computer’s restarting process as you should see a screen pop up that says restarting.
First check the outlet with another device and confirm it is working. If possible plug in the adapter into another device and see if there is a problem with the adapter or the computer. If the adapter is not working you can purchase a new adapter.
Check the icon on the bottom right of the laptop If the battery isn’t charging and the adapter is working then the problem is the battery itself. You can buy a new battery online and install it.
Unable to download or save additional files.
There may be some unwanted files that you don’t need take up valuable space. Go through the computer’s storage and delete any applications you no longer use, or photos you do not need.
You can purchase a USB stick or hard drive and upload files to this and delete them from your PC creating more storage. If you have tried to free up space and still don’t have enough, you may want to increase the computer’s internal storage, by upgrading the SSD.
Computer is much hotter than expected even when only doing simple tasks.
Dust can start to build up on different parts of the computer. Check all the intake grills or exhaust ports to ensure there is not excess dust blocking the airways. Use a can of duster to remove the dust from the airways. If this doesn’t resolve the issue, try removing the bottom panel of the laptop to get direct access to the fan and use a air duster to clean it.
If you notice the fan is not spinning, it may be disconnected or faulty. Check the small power connector with red and black wires and a white cap. connected to the fan and if it still doesn’t work, the fan needs replacement.
Moving the lid of the computer results in a cracking or crackling sound emitting from the computer.
Something may be stuck in the computer as this can cause serious damage , you can clean it yourself or bring it to a third party for them to clean it for you.
Extended use of the hinges can cause wear over time causing permanent damage. You can buy new hinges online and replace them.
