The computer does not respond to powering on and shows no signs of life.
Connect the charger to the laptop and plug the charger into a working outlet. If the Computer is still unresponsive and does not power on you will have to replace the charger. To replace a charger for this computer go to a local store and find a compatible charger.
Using a charger known to charge a fully functional laptop connect the charger to a outlet. Remove the battery from the laptop and connect the charger to the laptop. If this allows the laptop to power on with the battery removed this means that the battery is defective and must be replaced. To learn how to replace a battery for this computer, follow this link
There are no sounds coming out of the computer or the sound is unclear.
Check to make sure that the disc is secure in the tray. Make sure that you firmly close it and it clicks shut. If this does not solve the problem replace the optical drive by following this guide.
First check to see if any enhancements are active. Right click on the speaker icon and select sounds. Then click on the properties tab and select the enhancements tab. Click the box that says “Disable all sound effects”. If this does not solve the problem then replace the speakers.
The computer appears to be on but the screen is black and unresponsive.
The computer may not be turned on. If it is not on, click the power button and wait several seconds for the screen to load.
If the power button is clicked but the computer display still does not show, the laptop might need to be plugged in and charged. Plug the computer in to a battery source and wait for it to charge. After several minutes of charging, attempt to power the device on again.
The computer is running fine and the screen randomly goes black.

If your computer is constantly crashing or freezing, the RAM might be defective. To replace a defective RAM for this computer, follow this link.
The keys will not respond to any commands or are missing.
If individual keys are not responding to commands, they might be stuck in place. To fix this, remove the key by following this link, and then clean out the area underneath the keyboard. After the area is cleaned and removed of any substances, simply snap the key back in place.
If all the keys on the keyboard do not respond to any commands, try replacing the entire keyboard.
