- Make sure the device is turned off.
- Remove the panel on the bottom of the laptop by sliding the switch to the right.

- Locate the screw that keeps the CD drive attached, and remove it with a Phillips head screwdriver.

- After the screw is removed, pry the CD drive out of the laptop until you can grip and remove it.
