- Use a Philips screwdriver to unscrew one screw holding the disk drive to the laptop.
- In the photo there is a covering missing from another piece of the laptop but this will not impact the disk drive.

- Slide (pull) the disk drive out from the laptop and place it off to the side.
- The disk drive is the silver container as seen in the photo.
