              Speaker Bar               
  • Make sure the laptop lid is closed, turn it over and remove the battery by moving the switch right to left.
  • there are three philips screws located on the surface where the writing is. remove those three screws.

Step 2

  • turn the laptop right side up. Between the cover and case on the top right of the laptop and using a plastic sludger or a finger lift gently on the speaker cover as to disengage the clips.
  • Be sure not to pull hard or you may damage the ribbon cables.
  • From the side closest to the screen turn the cover towards yourself.

Step 3

  • there is one connector from the speaker bar to a control board. Gently remove the cable.
  • There are two more screws attaching the speaker bar to the cover, remove these and take the speaker bar out.

Step 4

  • you are now ready to replace or repair the speaker bar. I recomend purchasing a new one, they range anywhere from 5-15 dollars online.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
