              Battery               
  • Turn the laptop upside down with the battery compartment facing you.

  • Slide the battery release latch to the right and hold in place.

  • Lift the front edge of the battery up and remove it from the compartment.

              Heat Sink               
  • Position laptop with heat sink compartment facing you.
  • Locate the one 2x5 mm Torx screw.

  • Remove the one 2x5 mm Torx screw securing the thermal cover with a #6 Torx screwdriver.

Step 6

  • Lift thermal cover to reveal heat sink.
  • Remove and set aside thermal cover.

  • Locate the four screws on each corner of heat sink.
  • Unscrew the four 2x12 mm screws with a #00 Phillips screwdriver.

Step 8

  • Grab sides of heat sink and carefully lift from compartment.
  • Due to adhesive bonding of heat sink to base, wiggling it side to side before lifting might help removal process.
