Battery
- Turn off your laptop and disconnect the power adapter before doing anything else with your computer.

- Turn your laptop over so the bottom of your laptop is facing up and the hinge is located away from you

- Slide the lock switch to the left.
- The lock switch is located by the bottom left side of the battery.
- The battery should pop up after you move the switch.

- Lift up the released battery by rotating it up and away from you.
- Pull the battery out.
- The battery is held in by a latch in the front of the battery socket and by tabs in the back. When putting the battery back in, line the tabs back up with the grooves located in the back of the socket and rotate the battery towards you. When in place, push the battery in until you hear a click.

RAM
- Use the Phillips #0 screw driver to unscrew the 7.5 mm screw indicated in the photo.
- The screw does not actually come out of the plastic cover; it only loosens and tightens.

- Lift the RAM case cover after the screw has been loosened.

- Locate the 2 silver release buttons inside the RAM socket, indicated in the pictures. They are on opposite sides of the socket.

- Simultaneously push the two silver release buttons away from each other towards the walls of the socket to release the RAM from the socket.
- You may use your fingers or any plastic tool to push the release buttons.
- The RAM card should pop out after you push the release buttons.

- Remove the RAM chip from the socket
- The RAM has 2 long white tabs on its vertical side that fit into grooves in the RAM socket. This is what keeps the RAM chip in place.
