What you need

Step 1

              Hard Drive               
  • Flip laptop over to back with the battery facing downwards.
  • The battery is the silver cylinder located on the bottom of the laptop.

Step 2

  • Locate switch for battery ejection.
  • Battery ejection switch is located just above the left side of the battery.

Step 3

  • Remove battery by sliding the battery ejection switch to the right and pulling the battery away from the laptop.

  • Using a plastic opening tool, remove the large square casing located on the bottom right side of the laptop.
  • The hard drive will be visible once the casing has been removed.

Step 5

  • Using a Phillips #0 Screwdriver, remove each of the six Phillips #0 screws.
  • Four screws are located on each corner of the hard-drive.
  • Two screws are located on the right side of the battery slot.

Step 6

  • Remove old hard drive from its slot and replace with new hard drive, sticker side facing up.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
